Scary fun ahead！Three generations dress up as ghosts & ride the monster-themed shuttle to Nantou for free

This year’s Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Xitou Line Monster Shuttle, held in conjunction with Ghost Month and Monster Village events, takes “three generations under one roof” as its theme, inviting families to explore Xitou together. Just dress up in Ghost Month attire for a chance to join the 2-day, 1-night trip for free.

The Xitou Line ghost-dressing event will kick off during the first week of Ghost Month (August 5–6). The 2-day, 1-night itinerary includes the Monster Village’s Monster Parade and Monster Carnival, as well as hiking and nature walks in Xitou Nature Education Area, tea and bamboo cuisine, and visits to sightseeing factories. Participants will also be selected through a costume contest—five groups that include grandparents in their getups will get to join for free, while other selected participants can join for just NT$1,000. Registration opens July 1.

In addition to the Monster Shuttle event, there are also activities such as getting a Polaroid photo by taking pictures, entering a raffle to win an HTC mini camcorder by submitting videos, and buyers of the Xitou package can also receive a limited-edition EasyCard and a travel journal.
