Nantun’s Stunning New Scenic Spot  Netizens Dub It “Taichung’s Cingjing Lake”

A new scenic spot has emerged in Taichung, featuring lush green grass and crystal-clear lake water that takes on different appearances under varying sunlight, earning the nickname“Taichung’s Cingjing Lake”from netizens. After going viral online, it has become a popular photography destination recently, attracting many locals.

In reality, what the public calls “Taichung’s Cingjing Lake” is an artificial lake created by a developer to beautify the land, covering a total area of about 3,600 ping. The vast green space allows people to stroll leisurely back and forth, while the winding lake in the center resembles a crescent moon when viewed from afar, earning it the alternate name “Taichung Crescent Bay.” The shimmering water reflects the sky, and as the sun slowly sets, the surrounding lights paired with the deep blue lake water create yet another stunning view.

As the site is on privately owned commercial land, future development is not out of the question. This lush, landscaped artificial lake, comparable to Eastern Taiwan’s “Cingjing Lake,” may disappear in the future. Those wishing to see it should seize the opportunity while it’s still available.
