Taipei 101 and Japan’s Osaka Abeno Harukas Building became sister skyscrapers in March 2017. Prior to this, Taipei 101 had also formed a sister skyscraper relationship with Tokyo Skytree.
Additionally, at the outdoor staircase leading to the MRT entrance, two giant bear head-shaped colorful lanterns are on display. The light and sound show patterns feature elements and flags from many countries, conveying Taipei 101’s warm greetings to travelers from around the world.
During the Spring Festival, Taipei 101 also has a pop-up art installation featuring French Bulldog sculptures — a very fitting activity for the Year of the Dog. Visitors to Taipei 101 during the holiday season should definitely check out these limited-time highlights.
