Step into a mermaid fairy tale scene  A giant conch installation so stunning it looks unreal

   Located in Yunlin’s Taihsi Ocean Park, this scenic area sits on Taiwan’s coastal reclaimed land and is one of the island’s major production and distribution hubs for seafood such as clams and oysters. The park features a massive conch installation that has recently become a popular Instagram photo spot. The giant conch’s exterior is adorned with colorful mosaic tiles and inlaid with real shells and ceramics, creating a vibrant mosaic style with a strong ocean vibe.

The conch stands 10 meters tall and 25 meters wide, with its colorful tile arrangement resembling a fairytale scene. It features over 50 types and more than 5,000 embedded shells, which pair beautifully with blue skies, white clouds, or sunset hues to create stunning photo opportunities.

Taihsi Ocean Park boasts a vast plain with sandy soil ideal for farming. In addition to seafood, visitors can admire fields of rapeseed flowers or fly kites here. The scenic boulevard is straight and spacious, lined with oyster farms laid out in a grid-like pattern within fish farms, while egrets gather in shallower waters of post-harvest fish farms to forage. Visitors can take in the full beauty of the natural landscape.
