Just on the Sansheng Trail alone, there are over 200 Yoshino cherry trees. When the blossoms are in full bloom, the romantic spring cherry scenery, combined with the small bridges and flowing streams along the trail, creates a breathtaking view that visitors won’t forget.
In addition to cherry blossom viewing, the festival also includes the “Spring Blossoms, Spring Feelings” event. By participating in the cherry blossom stamp rally, you can win a ‘Sanchi Limited Edition Cherry Blossom Postcard Set’. Send it on-site for free postage (one per person), limited to 1,000 sets.
The “Sakura Love Photography Contest,” cherry blossom market, and other activities also allow visitors to submit their own works while enjoying the flowers, shop for snacks and groceries at the market, and even take part in a radish-pulling experience.
Sanchi’s cherry blossom season begins with mountain cherries, followed by the multi-layered petals of the eight-petal cherry blossoms taking the stage around late February to early March, and finally, the Yoshino cherries with their white petals tinged with a touch of crimson bring the most beautiful memories to the spring cherry blossom season.
