The Taipei Michelin Guide was released on March 14. In addition to the full list of 20 starred restaurants, as well as Bib Gourmand and Michelin Plate selections, the guide also features several street food vendors, including Shannai Chicken from the Nanjing Airport Night Market and Ah Hui Rice Vermicelli from the Shilin Night Market — all budget-friendly options under $10 where you can enjoy Michelin-recommended bites without breaking the bank.

1. Ah Hui Rice Vermicelli – Shilin Night Market
Ah Hui Rice Vermicelli at Shilin Night Market is located near the temple entrance and has no seating. The rice vermicelli has a hint of sweet vegetables, simple yet satisfying, and comes in two portion sizes. You can also add squid or pork intestines.

2. Shannai Chicken – Nanjing Airport Night Market
Shannai Chicken, located right at the main entrance of the night market, is always packed in the evenings. The chicken here has crispy skin and tender meat, generous portions, and great value. The store closes at irregular times; if you want chicken legs, it’s best to arrive before 8:00 PM.

3. Bin’s Stuffed Sausage – Shilin Night Market
Bin’s Stuffed Sausage, located at the temple entrance of Shilin Night Market, has been around for 18 years. Their garlic-flavored sausages and soft glutinous rice rolls are especially popular.

4. Ma|Gu? – Raohe Night Market
Address: Between No. 111 and No. 105, Raohe Street, Songshan District, Taipei City
Ma|Gu?, which has been in business for over ten years, is beloved by locals for its unique flavor. Their rice balls, topped with savory fillings, are incredibly juicy and flavorful, making them a top choice for night market goers.

5. Dongfa Hao – Raohe Night Market
Established in 1937, Dongfa Hao is one of the must-eat foods at Raohe Night Market. Run by the founding daughter’s successor, their oyster vermicelli is still cooked in a clear broth, resulting in a sweet and delicious flavor. Their fried rice is also highly recommended by many foodies.
