The Grand Mazu Pilgrimage in Dajia & Five Eye-Catching Featured Stays

The annual Grand Mazu Pilgrimage in Dajia officially sets off in April, embarking on a 9-day, 8-night, over 300-kilometer pilgrimage and incense-offering journey. The Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage is not only an important folk culture in Taiwan but was also once considered one of the world’s three major religious events. The pilgrimage route spans four counties and cities — Taichung, Changhua, Yunlin, and Chiayi — attracting hundreds of thousands or even millions of participants each year, creating a grand and spectacular scene. Travelers may want to plan ahead and book accommodations early.

1. Taichung – Red Dot Hotel
