Pingtung International 3D Comic Festival: France’s Super Cute “Little Jimmy” Makes Its Asian Debut

The 2016 Pingtung International 3D Comic Festival officially kicked off on June 30, combining international and local elements, and notably featuring“Little Jimmy’s Underwater Adventure”for its first exhibition in Asia.

“Wow, these fluorescent fish are swimming all around me!” said Pingtung County Magistrate Pan Men-an. Children wearing 3D glasses seemed to be fully immersed in the cool seawater, their excited laughter echoing throughout the “Little Jimmy’s Underwater Adventure” exhibition area.

In addition to 3D comics, the festival also held a special comic creation contest with a Pingtung theme before the event began. Pan Men-an mentioned that the winners will be sent to France for further study to build their skills. “We want Pingtung’s comics and animations to step onto the international stage with the richest local characteristics.”
