A collection of photos capturing thrilling moments – see how people abroad embrace outdoor adventures:

1.Getting up close and personal with lava
Sam Crossman from San Francisco is both a filmmaker and an adventurer. Since last year, he has made multiple trips to the depths of Marum Volcano crater on Vanuatu, a South Pacific island nation, facing threats like acid rain, scorching heat, and falling rocks, all while wearing a specially designed protective suit. He used a GoPro camera and a drone to take selfies up close as the volcanic lava lake erupted.

2.Biking underwater in an ice lake
The “fighting nation” never fails to amaze. A group of crazy individuals from Siberia, Russia, dove under the frozen Lake Baikal, braving near-freezing temperatures of 1 degree Celsius, biking or ice-skating underwater for nearly 90 seconds.

3.Spider-Man-style high-altitude web-swinging and sunbathing
Andy Lewis, a 28-year-old American man, performed an unusual stunt in the desert of Utah. He hung a rope net in a canyon and played around with several daring adventurers on the suspended platform, fully experiencing the feeling of being “Spider-Man.”

4.Performing gymnastics above a 100-meter waterfall
Eskil Rønningsbakken, a Norwegian extreme balance artist renowned for his incredible skills, made headlines once again this May when he returned to the 275-meter-high Øystre Slidre Waterfall in Norway. Wearing a bright red outfit, he performed “gymnastics” while gripping a railing. Eskil is an adventure artist passionate about pushing the boundaries of balance, having completed numerous jaw-dropping extreme balance stunts over the past 14 years.

5.Skiing while being towed by a plane

Jamie Barrow, a 22-year-old British snowboarding expert, started this year by heading to St. Moritz, Switzerland. He was tethered to a jet plane by a rope and used the plane’s pull to ski. During the stunt, he reached an astonishing speed of 125 kilometers per hour.

6.

Skydiving to celebrate a 100th birthday
Back home, most seniors spend their days dancing in squares, babysitting, or cooking, living a slow-paced life. But Georgina Harwood, a senior from South Africa, begs to differ. Just after turning 100 this March, she headed to the northern part of Cape Town to try skydiving. This was her third time taking the plunge.

7.
95-year-old grandpa walks on an airplane wing
Before the Guernsey Air Display in September 2015, 95-year-old Tom Lackey had already set 13 Guinness World Records. But he wasn’t satisfied – this time, he took on the challenge of walking on the wing of a Boeing Stearman PT-17 trainer plane, adding yet another record to his name.

These photos may look thrilling, but remember: when enjoying the outdoors, always know your limits. Don’t try to imitate these high-difficulty stunts lightly~
