To celebrate the arrival of Lunar New Year and the Lantern Festival, the Douliu City Government collaborated with Fude Temple to organize a parent-child lantern painting activity. These colorful lanterns were painted in vibrant patterns and hung high along Taiping Old Street, showcasing over 500 hand-painted lanterns to create a unique local lantern festival in Douliu.

Meanwhile, the Douliu City Government plans to launch four major "welcoming spring" activities. Starting with the painted lanterns adorning the old street, creative pig-themed lanterns will also be displayed at Douliu Roundabout, allowing visitors to enjoy the festive lights early in the Lunar New Year and soak in the lively celebratory atmosphere.

From the first day of the Lunar New Year (February 5) for five consecutive days, a picnic music market will be held at Qiji Memorial Hall. On the third and fourth days of the New Year (February 7 and 8), there will be art exhibitions and magic shows on Yuncheng Street. Through various locations and fun activities, everyone can joyfully welcome the Lunar New Year together.

In addition to the hanging painted lanterns, creative lanterns will also be progressively installed.
In addition, Fude Temple has opened registration for blessing lanterns, wealth lanterns, and Heaven Lanterns, with an extra 5,000 blessing lanterns added. It is expected that all registrations will be filled before the 15th day of the Lunar New Year. Aside from admiring the lanterns, visitors can also light a lantern to pray for a smooth and prosperous new year.
