Japanese gachapon toys have taken the world by storm, even attracting many tourists to Japan just to experience the joy of gashapon. Now, the beloved “Scoop Animals” series that once sparked a gachapon craze in Taiwan is back again—not only featuring giant, life-sized versions of the adorable characters on display in Taiwan, but also teaming up with other characters from the “Gacha Planet” to create five themed exhibition zones, making it a must-visit photo hotspot this summer.

The 2018 “Gacha Planet Special Exhibition” will open simultaneously at Taipei Huashan 1914 Creative Park and Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Center in late June. This year’s event brings together six of Taiwan’s most popular gachapon series, including “Dormant Animals,” “Gacha Planet,” “Too Free Goddess,” “Moai Sundae,” “Chubby Green Troops,” and “Fruit Zombies.” These will be displayed across five themed zones, showcasing nearly 30 giant, life-sized gachapon plush figures for fans to take photos with. In addition, original design sketches will be unveiled for the first time, guaranteeing an unforgettable and fun-filled experience.
