Japan’s Tokyo-based ramen king “Ippudo” has not only topped the prestigious food review site Tabelog as the best ramen for seven consecutive years, but is also one of the must-try delicacies for international travelers visiting Japan. Now, this iconic Japanese ramen brand “Ippudo” is teaming up with Taiwan’s leading convenience store chain 7-ELEVEN to launch an affordable yet delicious high-value meal, allowing everyone to enjoy championship ramen without the wait — right at their local convenience store.

This collaboration between Ippudo and convenience store 7-ELEVEN introduces two limited-edition summer dishes, one of which is the “Sesame Cold Tsukemen,” a popular item that was exclusively available at Ippudo Taiwan in 2017. The noodles are Q-textured with a slight wheat aroma, and when dipped in the signature sauce, they deliver an incredibly flavorful punch. The chicken breast is prepared using a low-temperature aging technique that blends French culinary methods with Japanese techniques, not only preserving the tenderness of the meat but also releasing a burst of juicy flavor with every bite — truly mouthwatering.

Meanwhile, another new menu item from Ippudo — the “Chicken Karaage Fried Rice” — will make its surprise early debut at 7-ELEVEN in June. Not only has the sauce from the tsukemen been revamped to create Ippudo’s signature homemade pork floss, but it’s also paired with garlic-flavored chicken karaage, a staple at Japanese izakayas. Each bite delivers the aroma of minced梅花 pork, offering a completely new and distinct flavor compared to traditional Taiwanese-style fried rice.
