Transformed into a grand art experience hub, Huashan's New Talent Season showcases a hundred forms of youthful creativity

Huashan Cultural and Creative Park has a new highlight again recently. With the support of international major companies, the New Media Art Department of Taipei National University of the Arts has developed AR and VR technologies, combined them with real-life interactive experiences, and turned Huashan into a large-scale immersive experience venue, where the collision between technology and cultural creativity brings even more sparks of innovation to the park.

Huashan Cultural and Creative Park is a hall that embraces diverse forms of art. The Huashan New Talent Season, launched in 2008, has now entered its tenth edition. This year, it takes “A Hundred Forms of Youthful Art” as its theme, bringing together creative talents from 12 universities to present a variety of art exhibitions.

Among them, the New Media Art Department of Taipei National University of the Arts leads the way by breaking the usual mold of small-group graduation works and indoor exhibitions. It incorporates elements such as VR, AR experiences, and remote-controlled moving devices, attracting the most attention. Through voice guidance and IoT interactions, it creates a virtual-real interactive adventure that blends technology.

Additionally, during the nearly one-month-long New Talent Season, there are also numerous exhibitions, including those by the Craft Department of Taiwan University of Arts, which plans its display in a brand-new market-style format; the Radio, Television and Film Department of Taiwan University of Arts, which sells brainy creativity and invites seniors and grandparents to join in the fun; and the Architecture Department of Huafan University, which handles everything from artworks and exhibition spaces to hardware without outsourcing, presenting a rich collection of exhibitions.

Meanwhile, the Department of Visual Communication Design of National Chin-Yi University of Technology, which has been shortlisted for multiple Golden Pin Design Awards; as well as departments such as Shih Hsin University’s Journalism Department, Kunshan University of Science and Technology’s Department of Public Communication, Xing Wu University’s Department of Information Communication, and Tamkang University’s Department of Mass Communication, who bring us a taste of the power of media communication through boundless creativity—all will present their works within Huashan Cultural and Creative Park. They will use a wealth of culturally inclusive content to create an explosion of creativity through a full sensory experience.
