The 2018 Asia's 50 Best Bars (Asia’s 50 Best Bars) awards ceremony was held at the Capitol Theatre in Singapore, unveiling the third annual list. A total of eight new bars made the list this year, with the highest representation from Singapore and China—each country had 12 bars featured. Taiwan had two bars on the list.

Singapore’s Manhattan Bar retained its top spot for the second consecutive year, continuing to hold the titles of “Asia’s Best Bar” and “Singapore’s Best Bar.” Local bartender Vijay Mudaliar from Singapore was awarded the “Altos Bartenders' Bartender” award.

Other Singaporean bars that made the Top 50 include Atlas (rising 8 places to rank 4th), Tippling Club (7th), Native (rising 12 places to 8th), 28 HongKong Street (12th), Operation Dagger (19th), Gibson (22nd), Employees Only (23rd), D.bespoke (32nd), Nutmeg & Clove (33rd), Jigger & Pony (42nd), and The Other Room (50th).

China Region
ShanghaiSpeak Low(3rd place) continues to holdthe title of “China’s Best Bar,”which is sponsored byMichter's Distillery. Speak Low also receivedthe “Heering Legend of the List Award”in recognition of its outstanding performance on the list over the years.
Hong Kong’sThe Old Manmade its debut on the list, ranking 5th, and won theTorres Brandysponsored“Highest New Entry Award”(Highest New Entry Award).
The other 10 Chinese bars on the list include six from Hong Kong:Lobster Bar & Grill(10th), Stockton (11th), Quinary (15th), Zuma (18th), 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana (24th), andThe Pontiac (31st); two from Shanghai:Sober Company(14th) andUnion Trading Company (28th).
One bar in BeijingJanes & Hooch(30th) made the list, while another newly listed bar in Macau isThe Ritz Carlton Bar & Lounge,ranking 48th.

Japan
In this year’s rankings, Tokyo’sHigh Five(6th) has been named“Japan’s Best Bar”for the third consecutive year, an award sponsored byCocktail Kingdom. Other bars that made the list include seven from Tokyo:Trench(up 12 places to 16th),Bar Benfiddich(20th), Bar Orchard Ginza(37th),Star Bar(43rd), and one from Nara,Lamp Bar(45th), along with two newly listed bars —Gen Yamamoto(34th) andMixology Salon(40th).
