Typhoon Maria, a medium-strength typhoon, is approaching. TRA regional trains and services on multiple routes will be suspended before 12:00 noon.

The following routes are scheduled to be suspended in the TRA’s July 11 train operation plan:

1. Western Trunk Line (between Keelung and Chaozhou) – Regular trains

 A. Downbound: Taipei to Kaohsiung (Chaozhou) – All services suspended before 12:00 (Train No. 513).

 B. Upbound: Kaohsiung (Chaozhou) to Taipei – All services suspended before 10:00 (Train No. 118).

2. Eastern Trunk Line (between Shulin and Hualien, Shulin and Taitung): All services suspended before 12:00 (Trains No. 624 and 217).

3. Western Trunk Line regional trains (between Keelung and Hsinchu): All services suspended before 12:00.

4. Eastern Trunk Line: 1. Shulin to Yilan to Hualien: All services suspended before 12:00.

5. Pingxi Line, Shen’ao Line, Neiwan Line: All services suspended before 12:00.

6. Liujia Line: All services suspended before 10:00. Services may resume after 10:00 depending on route reopening conditions.

7. Island-Circling Tourist Trains: Trains No. 51 and 52 are suspended.

Train operations may still change in response to the typhoon’s developments. It is recommended to check before departure.
