Typhoon Ampil (international name: AMPIL), a mild typhoon, is located 70 kilometers northeast of the Ryukyu Islands (670 kilometers northeast of Taipei) over the sea, moving northwest at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour, with maximum wind speeds near the center reaching 25 meters per second (approximately 90 kilometers per hour), equivalent to a Force 10 wind. It is forecast that at 8:00 AM on the 22nd, the center of the typhoon will be positioned 130 kilometers southeast of Shanghai, over the sea. Ships navigating or operating in the sea areas near the Ryukyu Islands and the southern part of the East China Sea should exercise particular caution.

Over the next two days, the 10th typhoon along with the peripheral circulation of a tropical depression or another potential typhoon will affect northern Taiwan, the eastern half of the island, and the Hengchun Peninsula, bringing brief showers or thunderstorms. Other regions, as well as Penghu and Kinmen, may experience localized brief showers or thunderstorms, with a chance of localized heavy rainfall. Matsu will see mostly cloudy weather.

Additionally, another tropical depression with a pressure of 1000 hPa is located over the sea area between the central and western Spratly Islands, moving northeast at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour, showing signs of developing into a mild typhoon.
The weekend will continue to bring hot temperatures, with highs reaching 32–34 degrees Celsius. Take precautions against heatstroke when going out, and it's advisable to carry rain gear.
