Hsinchu 300 Expo: Local Delicacies, Cultural Creativity, Great for Photos

This year marks the 300th anniversary of the development of Hsinchu. From July 21 to 29, the Hsinchu City Government held the "Hsinchu 300 Expo" at the Cultural and Creative Hall, with the theme "Dear Hsinchu, 300 Tomorrow Dreams!" Six major exhibition zones were created to showcase the past, present, and future of Hsinchu City.

Admission to the expo was free and featured six exhibition zones: Glorious City, Warm City, Maker City, Ageless City, Super Cute City, and Leisure City. The displays utilized interactive methods such as 3D light projections, AR, VR virtual reality, touch walls, and 3D animations, showcasing Hsinchu’s recent changes and vitality.

At the same time, the "Hsinchu Goodies Pavilion" was set up on the first floor of the Cultural and Creative Hall, inviting about 75 local specialty shops to participate. With the unique "wind" of Hsinchu as the theme—including Centuries-old Wind, Strong Winds, Youthful Wind, and Cozy Sleep Wind—it offered visitors a taste of Hsinchu’s cuisine, local souvenirs, and accommodation information. Limited-edition "Hsinchu 300 Expo" exclusive souvenirs were also launched and could be obtained simply by taking photos, checking in, and uploading them.

Due to limited parking nearby, the Hsinchu City Government also provided shuttle buses from five locations—the Hsinchu Transfer Station, Shulin Tou Parking Lot, Qianjia Shuttle Station, Gongdao 5th Road, and the Hsinchu Cultural and Creative Hall—to allow visitors to reach the expo quickly and smoothly.
