With the deepening implementation of the national fitness strategy, China’s successful bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, and the push to achieve the goal of "engaging 300 million people in winter sports," which is driving comprehensive progress in China’s winter sports, ice climbing has shown vigorous growth momentum in 2017.
From January 7th to 9th, the 16-17 UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup Beijing stop was successfully held in Beijing, followed by the National Ice Climbing Championships from January 16th to 17th. These top-tier international and domestic events have greatly boosted enthusiasm among domestic outdoor sports enthusiasts. Against this backdrop, the Yunmeng Gorge Lost Memory Ice Climbing Wall is welcoming its 3rd Ice Climbing Festival.
After years of practice and experience accumulation, the Yunmeng Gorge Lost Memory Ice Climbing Wall has made certain developments and improvements in ice climbing wall construction and logistical support services. On January 8th, 2017, it successfully hosted the opening ceremony and speed climbing competition of the 2017 Ice Climbing World Cup (Beijing stop).
To help more enthusiasts better understand ice climbing and provide them with better opportunities for exchange and learning, the 3rd Yunmeng Gorge Ice Climbing Festival and the National Amateur Ice Climbers' Skills Exchange Conference will soon be held at the Yunmeng Gorge Lost Memory Ice Climbing Wall in Miyun, Beijing.
During the two-day event, the organizers will invite top domestic ice climbing coaches to give public lectures, cover winter outdoor safety precautions, and host ice climbing competitions and endurance challenges. After the event, a grand award ceremony will be held on the main stage of the ISPO BEIJING 2017 exhibition on February 15th.

Number of Participants: 100 people, first come, first served
Registration Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, with no medical contraindications for sports involving the heart, brain, etc. Participants should have basic ice climbing skills and bring their own helmet, harness, mountaineering boots, crampons, and other essential ice climbing gear.

Must possess basic ice climbing skills and provide your own helmet, harness, mountaineering boots, crampons, and other essential ice climbing equipment (the organizer does not provide personal technical gear for use)
