Taiwan High Speed Rail's passenger volume is about to surpass the 500 million mark! Following the launch of the "500 Million & Beyond, Better Life" giveaway campaign, the first winner of the "Bonus Prize" was announced at Taoyuan Station on the 17th. To date, seven lucky travelers have each won four free business class ride vouchers. THSR stated that cumulative ticket sales have now exceeded 499,626,525, and the 500 millionth passenger — the "grand prize" winner — will receive a commemorative annual pass for unlimited standard fare rides in business class, valid for any route throughout the year.

Meanwhile, THSR is also holding a "Photo Check-in Collection" event across all 12 stations. From now until July 31, passengers can take a photo at any THSR station on Facebook or Instagram, tagging the "name of the station," taking a selfie with the "event panel," writing "500 Million & Beyond, Better Life," and using the hashtags #THSR #500MillionAndBeyondBetterLife #lookingforyou, while setting the post to public. They will then have a chance to win two standard class tickets, with a limit of 150 prizes. The list of winners will be announced on the campaign website after the event ends.
THSR stated that winners must present their ticket stubs to claim prizes. The "grand prize" 500 millionth passenger will receive a commemorative annual pass for unlimited standard fare rides in business class, valid for any route throughout the year. The two passengers immediately before and after the 500 millionth will receive the "second prize" — an "HSR Holiday Couple Trip" for any route, including round-trip business class tickets and an HSR holiday accommodation experience.
