However, there are not many eateries that have built their reputation on delicious pork chop rice and managed to stay in business for decades. No-name Pork Chop Rice on Chifeng Street
On Chifeng Street in the South Gate Business District, there’s an unassuming eatery with no name or signboard. The cramped space barely fits four small tables, yet its pork chop rice is legendary. Even famed food critic Hu Tianlan highly recommends it, and it's a favorite lunch spot for department store clerks nearby—so popular that the queue often spills out onto the street. The marinated pork chops aren't overly soft but still have a satisfying bite, and the side dishes include vegetables along with a crispy fried egg.

Dongyi Pork Chop Main Branch
Housed inside a building, the shiny-looking “Dongyi Pork Chop” looks more like a retro Nangka music bar at first glance. Its signature pork chop rice features thin, crispy pork cutlets enveloping large slices of pork, offering a delightful crunch with a hint of sweet meat juice, all atop tender and juicy meat.

Jinyuan Pork Chop Branch (Evergreen)
Located on B1 of the Evergreen Building in Ximending, Wanhua, Jinyuan Pork Chop is one of the nostalgic favorites for many Taipei locals. Originally, there were multiple branches of Jinyuan Pork Chop, but after the trademark was acquired by another Jinyuan in Taoyuan, two of them were renamed Jinxuan and Jinmanyuan. The pork chops here are crispy on the outside yet remain tender and not dry inside—making it a go-to spot for many who want to relive their youthful memories.
