Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days premieres in Taiwan on August 8, with a red carpet event taking place on August 5 at Taipei City Hall. Director Kim Yong-hwa and actors Ha Jung-woo, Ju Ji-hoon, Kim Hyang-gi, Ma Dong-seok, and Kim Dong-wook attended. The event, held on Civic Boulevard in Taipei, marked one of the largest-scale Korean star promotions for a film in Taiwan to date.
Enthusiastic fans began queuing as early as 10 PM the night before, demonstrating the immense appeal of both the film and the Korean stars. Directors and cast members warmly interacted with fans on the red carpet, shaking hands, signing autographs, and taking selfies. Despite the intense heat in Taipei, both actors and fans were drenched in sweat—but neither the high temperature nor the sweltering weather could dampen the fans’ enthusiasm or the stars’ charm, as screams of excitement filled the air throughout the event.
The event was hosted by comedians Huang Zi-jiao and Zhou Mingzhe, alongside film critics and hosts. The cast also shared behind-the-scenes stories about filming Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days.
The main cast also took fun group selfies and snapped memorable photos with all the fans present.
