Find 100 types of world beers at this pop-up psychedelic Taiwanese bar

“Lái Shǒu Beer Bar” is a limited-time event hosted by Eslite Life, only open at the 6F Exhibition Hall of Eslite Xinyi Store. Using the most ordinary everyday street scenes in Taiwan, such as street stalls under neon signs and metal scaffolding paired with plastic corrugated sheets—all familiar elements of Taiwanese culture—it creates a pop-up bar that’s only open from August 3 to August 12, with free admission.

Participating vendors include ABV Bar & Kitchen craft beer restaurant, Deluxburg Beer German craft draft beer, Golden Three Wheat, Eslite Wine Cellar, EXPO Eslite Life cultural and creative platform, and “Zhànán Taiwan Bistro ‘Xìnyì Yī Zhà’.” They’ve gathered 800 types of craft beers from 30 countries along with local Taiwanese flavors, offering an experience of global beer cultures.

“Lái Shǒu Beer Bar!” creates a specialty shop for new Taiwanese-style beer culture. At the entrance is a “World Beer Wall,” a popular spot for Instagram photos. The interior decoration uses common items found on Taiwanese construction sites—scaffolding, corrugated sheets, plastic, steel frames, wooden crates—as furnishings and displays. In the most authentically Taiwanese bar, enjoy selected world beers in a uniquely local drinking style, savoring a tipsy summer.

At this Eslite Life Beer Festival, the Eslite Life cultural and creative platform expo has brought together works from dozens of Taiwanese brand designers. Starting from the perspective of drinkers, they’ve carefully selected everything from the most delicious snacks and drinking accompaniments to various drinkware and bottle openers.
