As China's only world-class natural cave, the Wulong Furong Cave Scenic Area will establish a top-tier cave science education base in China, leading children into the world of caves to experience the splendid and mysterious underground realm.

It is reported that Wulong Furong Cave is a large limestone cave typical of karst landforms, with extremely high scientific value. Experts from the Australian Cave Association have praised it, saying “Furong Cave’s beautiful palm-like stalagmites, red coral pools, and gypsum flowers are all world-class wonders.” Andy, president of the World Cave Association, called it “one of the best show caves in the world.” Furong Cave has been ranked first among China’s more than 100 caves, earning the title “King of Caves,” and is widely recognized as the most beautiful underground scenery.

Wulong Furong Cave is a large limestone cave, stretching 2,400 meters in length with a spacious and tall interior, most passages between 30 to 50 meters wide and high, including the Grand Hall which has a floor area of over 11,000 square meters. The cave boasts a dazzling array of over 70 types of speleothems, covering nearly all known deposition forms. These include stalactites, stalagmites, columns, draperies, shields, cave grapes, and coral crystal flowers. Their mineral composition mainly consists of calcite and gypsum, along with aragonite and hydromagnesite. Many types exist in great abundance, with perfect forms (such as needle-like, hair-like, thread-like, and hairpin-like), and widely distributed textures. Among current domestic discoveries, many are unique, while some types are rare in China and seldom seen in the world.

In the world of children, nature is the most beautiful classroom. Inside Furong Cave, wonders such as dogtooth crystal flowers, curled stone flowers, cave grapes, gypsum flowers, and red corals appear vivid, delicate, and dazzling — these “flowers blooming from stone” not only broaden children’s horizons but also enhance their scientific knowledge. More importantly, the hundreds of millions of years of geological evolution that formed Furong Cave serve as the best in-cave science education material for children.
