This summer, Harbour City has partnered with the famous American spatial design team SNARKITECTURE to reimagine the everyday bouncy balls from childhood, using the unique location of Ocean Terminal’s open-air plaza and its minimalist all-white design concept. From now until September 2, they are launching Hong Kong’s first interactive art installation project—“BOUNCE”—inviting everyone to step into a world of giant white bouncy balls.

Meanwhile, visitors can also check out the massive “Wave Array” installation art at the “Harbour City Art Museum.” In addition, Harbour City will simultaneously open its first ever eye-themed maze amusement park—“Maze埋眼仔”—in the Grand Atrium of Ocean Terminal.
Harbour City has specially invited the New York-based design team SNARKITECTURE to hold an exhibition in Hong Kong for the first time. The team is known for creating installations that blend art and architecture. Previously, they have launched the highly creative art project “The Beach” in venues such as the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., Paris, Bangkok, and Sydney, garnering significant attention from international media.
This time, they have specially created a brand-new outdoor interactive installation project for Harbour City—“BOUNCE.” They have built a super-sized interactive “ball court” in Ocean Terminal’s open-air plaza, once again breaking the boundaries between art and architecture by enlarging bouncy balls 300 times. Visitors can freely roll, lift, and throw these giant white inflatable bouncy balls within this uniquely constructed space, making it an activity suitable for both adults and children.
SNARKITECTURE is known for its all-white designs and spatial transformations. This time, they have created a hyper-realistic all-white “ball court” by Victoria Harbour, where visitors can play with over a hundred one-meter-diameter white bouncy balls inside a goalpost structure made of white steel frames. The ultra-healing white scene is set to become the latest popular IG photo spot for influencers and artsy crowds.
