No need to fly to Japan！Contemporary art exhibition featuring masters like Yayoi Kusama

TAGBOAT is hosting the "Tokyo Illusion Japanese Contemporary Art Exhibition" at Dali Art Plaza, centering on the most avant-garde works by up-and-coming Japanese artists, along with dozens of pieces by leading figures in contemporary Japanese art. The dimly lit exhibition space enhances the immersive experience, drawing you into a fantastical atmosphere that is quintessentially Japanese in its artistic expression.

The exhibition is divided into three sections: the Emerging Artists Zone, the TAGBOAT Award Grand Prize Zone, and the Japanese Masters Zone. The exhibits span paintings, photography, three-dimensional sculptures, as well as installation art, video works, and live painting performances—offering a rich variety of artistic styles and showcasing the cutting-edge trends in Japanese art.

TAGBOAT has organized 13 editions of the "TAGBOAT AWARD," a springboard for emerging artists to gain recognition. This year, six of the most outstanding artists were selected from over 300 applicants to form the core of the exhibition. Additionally, 28 emerging artists have been chosen to participate, each presenting new works specially created for the show.

In addition to featuring popular contemporary artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Yoshitomo Nara, and photographers like Hiroshi Sugimoto, Nobuyoshi Araki, and Daido Moriyama, the Masters Works section also showcases classic pieces by modern art masters including Tsuguharu Foujita of the École de Paris, and post-Gutai artists such as Kazuo Shiraga and Lee Ufan.
