The "jaded love" comedy Wedding Crashers, the fourth collaboration between Hollywood action star Keanu Reeves and Stranger Things actress Winona Ryder, was released in Taiwan on September 7.

The film breaks away from the traditional sweet formula of romantic love. It tells the story of two rivals who meet on their way to a destination wedding. Though they can't stand each other at first, they gradually become deeply attracted to one another after a series of verbal sparring.

Action superstar Keanu Reeves takes a break from playing the "Killer" this time and steps into the role of a sarcastic, down-on-his-luck man in his new romantic film Wedding Crashers. Just the trailer scene where he shamelessly cuts the line completely flips his iconic "Killer" persona, and his "super jaded" contrast charm instantly captivated fans. He and actress Winona Ryder previously played fiancés in Bram Stoker's Dracula, directed by Oscar-winning director Francis Ford Coppola, though there weren’t many intimate scenes. Now, 26 years later, the two finally play lovers in Wedding Crashers. Keanu Reeves said he was genuinely happy to work with Winona again and that they couldn’t stop laughing during every scene. He joked, "We keep arguing in the movie, but the lines are seriously hilarious—I feel like we’re having way too much fun."
Keanu said although he doesn’t often act in romantic films, he loved the humor of the Wedding Crashers script so much that he decided to take the role, and the wildly unexpected developments between him and Winona in the film will have audiences laughing out loud.
Lindsey (played by Winona Ryder) is invited to her ex-fiancé’s destination wedding, where she meets his half-brother Frank (played by Keanu Reeves). This socially awkward, jaded man and woman can’t stand each other from the moment they meet at the airport. But thanks to the event organizer’s deliberate arrangements, the two “social misfits” end up seated next to each other on flights, in hotels, at mealtimes, and even during massages. As a pair seemingly made for each other, they gradually develop feelings for one another through their constant bickering. However, their deep-rooted jadedness prevents them from opening up... Will this pair of rivals finally get their happy ending by the journey’s end?
