182 Revival teddy bears go on location—climb the 430-meter Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, the world’s longest

182 Revival Airlines flight attendant teddy bears recently donned traditional Tujia ethnic costumes and made a surprise appearance on the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, said to be the longest and highest of its kind in the world. This marks the first time the teddy bears have visited cross-strait destinations.

The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge stretches 430 meters in length and 6 meters in width, with its deck approximately 300 meters above the valley floor. It is the world’s first glass-structured bridge and is recognized as the highest and longest glass bridge globally. It is set to officially open to the public in January 2017.

The flash appearance of the flight attendant teddy bears on the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge was part of a cultural exchange and tourism promotion event jointly held by the Revival Airlines Group and the city of Zhangjiajie on the 7th of this month. The Tujia ethnic group is the second largest in Hunan Province after the Han majority, so the teddy bears adapted to local customs, wearing bell decorations and pink embroidered dresses to embody authentic Tujia girls. Thirty local students from Tianmen Mountain Primary School also participated in the event.

Revival Airlines noted that Zhangjiajie’s fairy-tale-like natural scenery has been listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. The world’s highest sightseeing elevator and the longest aerial tramway on Tianmen Mountain are also located here. Revival operates five weekly flights from Taiwan to Zhangjiajie, with the journey taking just around three hours.
