On Monday the 17th, most of Taiwan will be mostly cloudy to sunny. Areas such as Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Hualien, and Taitung may experience heavy rain due to the outer circulation of the typhoon. Be sure to carry rain gear when going out in case of sudden showers.

In the coming week, southern Taiwan and Hualien-Taitung will see more short-lived thunderstorms in the afternoon. Taitung and Pingtung will have relatively high chances of rainfall nearly all week. Other counties and cities will start seeing cloudy and rainy conditions around Friday. Saturday and Sunday will bring rainfall chances across the entire island. Those planning outdoor activities this weekend should closely monitor weather forecasts.
Temperatures across Taiwan will be around 26–30°C. Taipei, New Taipei City, and Taoyuan City may see highs soaring up to 35°C. Watch out for heatstroke and pay attention to temperature fluctuations.
