Tangqian Food Square boasts three major highlights: first, it is Hong Kong’s longest-operating food court, fully catering to the quick-meal needs of transit passengers; second, it is the most spacious food court in Hong Kong, offering a comfortable and roomy environment; third, it is the most upscale food court in Hong Kong, filled with a modern vibe.
In line with the first daily high-speed train departure, it operates from 6:00 AM to midnight daily, offering a wide variety of specialty cuisines, including Hong Kong-style, American, Korean, Japanese, Southeast Asian, and Chinese regional dishes from both north and south China—truly making it Hong Kong’s longest-operating food court.
Tangqian Food Square provides passengers with ready-to-eat meals, including delicious congee, noodles, rice, and more, catering to the needs of busy high-speed rail travelers who can quickly grab a satisfying bite and avoid hunger that might dampen their travel experience.
Tangqian Food SquareCovering an expansive area of 18,000 square feet, it is currently the largest food court in Hong Kong. Unlike typical food courts, this space accommodates up to a thousand seats while only setting up 350, offering ample room to easily accommodate multiple pieces of luggage.
Located in the lobby of the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Terminus, the food court features a ceiling height equivalent to six stories, grand and imposing, with a sleek all-white metal and glass roof above that allows for excellent natural lighting.
To facilitate departing travelers in purchasing gifts, Tangqian Food Square has added specialty gift stalls offering a selection of exquisite products from Eminent Bakery, ranging from seasonal Mid-Autumn Festival mooncakes to classic egg rolls and cookies.
The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link connects Guangzhou and Dongguan in Guangdong Province, as well as Shenzhen and Hong Kong—abbreviated as XRL. The Hong Kong West Kowloon Terminus includes a designated Chinese port area staffed by Chinese customs officers for inspection. This high-speed rail line directly serves 44 stations across mainland China, with the journey from Hong Kong to Guangzhou South Station taking just 47 minutes, significantly improving travel speed and convenience for journeys between Hong Kong and various destinations across mainland China.
