National Day is approaching this year. The theme of this year’s official promotional video is “People First, Shared Happiness.” The 10-minute film comes with subtitles in 13 languages, aiming to celebrate together on the international stage. For the first time, this year’s National Day gala will be held in Yilan, taking place on the evening of October 9 at Yilan Sports Park.

This year’s film features four themes: first, “Technological Innovation and Economic Advancement”; second, “Diversity, Inclusion, and Cultural Integration”; third, “Democracy, Freedom, and a Vibrant Society”; and fourth, “Pragmatic Diplomacy and International Cooperation.” As per tradition, the film includes subtitles in 13 languages: Chinese, Japanese, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Russian, Arabic, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Thai.

This year’s gala, themed “Artistic Spirit – Taiwan United in Goodness,” highlights the local cultural characteristics of Yilan. The Culture Bureau hopes that performances will showcase Taiwan’s rich and diverse cultural soft power, reflecting the co-prosperity of Taiwan’s ethnic groups as well as the resilience and diligence of its people. The event is divided into three major themes: “Gathering,” “Returning,” and “Uniting.” Public admission begins at 5:00 PM on October 9, with the official performance running from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

The evening featured a diverse program, including performances such as the Magapahi Cultural Arts Troupe's "New Tribal Blessing Dance," "Celebrating the Harvest" by Yanling, the Lan Yang Dance Troupe's adapted piece "Drumming Lan Yang," and Teacher Zhuang Jincai's "Xin Shui Ling," all showcasing the local cultural essence of Lan Yang.
