Tokyo Disneyland’s 35th anniversary celebration brought the lively atmosphere directly to Taipei to celebrate with everyone. The Japanese Disney announced its participation in the 2019 Taipei Lantern Festival, where you’ll be able to see adorable Disney characters parading on floats and having fun with the crowd.
The super cute character costumes are loved by both kids and adults.
This time, the Taipei City Government has also collaborated with The Walt Disney Company to create a giant 6-meter-tall Mickey-themed lantern installation, which will be displayed as a surprise in bustling Ximending.
This year’s lantern festival lets you see your favorite Disney characters parading on the streets—no need to fly to Japan.
The 2019 Taipei Lantern Festival runs from February 16 to February 24. It also debuts digital imaging technology, using an all-LED screen to create a 3-story-tall main lantern called “Versatile Piggy Shines Bright,” which is sure to be spectacular.
