The 2017 Xiamen Jimei Half Marathon will joyfully kick off at Xiamen’s Jimei District Civic Square on November 19th, with official registration starting comprehensively from September 9th. Themed “Charming Xiamen, Fun Run in Jimei,” this event breaks away from the dullness of traditional races and innovatively creates China’s first uniquely themed “anime half marathon relay race.” Meanwhile, the organizing committee has joined forces with “Migu Family” to jointly create a running feast that combines professionalism with fun.
China’s First Anime-Themed Marathon Relay Race
The 2017 Xiamen Jimei Half Marathon is the first professional marathon event led by the Jimei District Government of Xiamen City. Before officially launching this major event, the organizing committee conducted nearly a year of research and carefully studied and designed the course, making full preparations to deliver an event that combines professionalism with fun. The final course passes through Yuanbo Garden and the Ring Xinglin Bay Scenic Boulevard, offering truly picturesque scenery. Running along such a course, participants can fully experience the cultural charm of the overseas Chinese hometown and appreciate the poetic beauty of classical Chinese gardens.
Notably, in addition to setting up events like the half marathon and mini run, the event has also created China’s first anime-themed marathon relay race. Participants will compete in teams of four, with each team featuring a different anime theme. If you’re looking for a meaningful team race, the relay race is definitely a great choice.

Heavyweight Anime Guests Make a Mysterious Appearance
At the race venue, anime elements will be integrated into every corner. Whether it's the half marathon relay area, the event aid stations, medical stations, timing zones, or more — all will feature anime-themed decorations, delivering the most authentic anime experience to all participants. As runners enter this unique anime world, they can take photos, selfies, and capture every unforgettable moment. Additionally, the organizers will invite heavyweight guests from the anime world, including voice actors, cosplayers, famous singers, and dancers, to appear on-site. Runners will have the chance to dash alongside virtual idols who have stepped out of the screen, joining in this cool cosplay show.

Migu Family Collaborates to Deliver the Best Event Experience
During the Xiamen Jimei Half Marathon, the Migu Family (Migu Run, Migu Anime, Migu Music, Migu Video) will work closely together as a strong lineup to support China’s most “anime-themed” half marathon. As a professional sports and health platform, Migu Run will serve as the official registration channel for the event and manage its operations, providing the most comprehensive race information. Migu Anime, based in Xiamen, will leverage its expertise in the anime culture field to focus on the anime-themed design of the course and the event. With extensive experience in large-scale performances, Migu Music will collaborate to deliver the most exciting anime music experience. And if you can’t make it to the event but still want to catch the action, you can watch the live stream on Migu Live to immerse yourself in the event’s charm.
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that November 18th is also Migu’s birthday, making the event day “Migu DAY” — a true double celebration. There will be a variety of activities on-site, and the top 50 amateur runners with the best personal results from the Happy 1+1 project, as well as 50 professional runners from the CMCC Marathon Association, will engage in an offline PK, competing in an exciting showdown.

This is a professional half marathon event, and also a carnival celebration in the anime world. If you want to be part of this extraordinary running feast, sign up quickly and join us in running into the anime universe.
