[September 27, 2017, Beijing] Following the opening of the understated Milan Bulgari Hotel in 2004, the romantic and resort-style Bali Bulgari Resort in 2006, and the classic homage of London Bulgari Hotel in 2012, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has spent five years in the making. As Italian brilliance meets the artistic essence of the capital, the world’s fourth and China’s first Bulgari Hotel—Beijing Bulgari Hotel—officially opens today, adding another radiant jewel to the Bulgari crown.

In the hotel’s banquet hall, which blends natural and artistic ambiance, numerous guests gathered. Bulgari Group CEO Jean-Christophe Babin remarked at the dinner: “It is my great honor to welcome you all to the grand opening of Beijing Bulgari Hotel. The Beijing Bulgari Hotel is a symbol of perfection, embodying our unique interpretation of the Bulgari lifestyle while showcasing our relentless pursuit of elegant design, exquisite craftsmanship, and an extraordinary guest experience.” The star-studded evening saw Bulgari Brand Ambassador Shu Qi and acclaimed actress Zhang Ziyi make elegant appearances, sharing their passion for the Bulgari lifestyle. The Italian bel canto duo LE DIV4S, rooted in classical opera tradition, performed timeless classics by Mozart, Bellini, Verdi, and Puccini, infusing the evening with a blend of contemporary and classic artistry. Michelin-starred Chef Niko Romito presented a selection of exquisite dishes, allowing guests to savor the unique flavors of Italian cuisine. The celebration continued in the hotel’s private garden with a post-dinner reception that elevated the evening to new heights. Guests immersed themselves in an Italian-inspired festive atmosphere, enjoying fine food, wine, and music, marking an unforgettable night of cultural fusion between Italy and China to celebrate the birth of Beijing Bulgari Hotel.

Beijing Bulgari Hotel is located in the heart of the city’s exclusive embassy district, retaining the essence of Italian architecture and design while incorporating the local character of Beijing. The hotel also selected one of Italy’s most prestigious architectural firms, Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. Designers drew brilliant inspiration from Bulgari’s unique jewelry-making craftsmanship. A portrait of Bulgari brand founder Sotirio Bulgari, painted by renowned artist Yan Peiming, is also displayed at the hotel entrance as a distinctive feature. The hotel offers 119 elegant rooms and suites, including one Bulgari Suite, all furnished with luxury Italian brands such as Maxalto and B&B Italia. The unique Bulgari Suite combines Italian elegance with contemporary flair, spanning nearly 400 square meters to become one of the largest suites in Beijing. The surrounding garden landscape, designed by renowned Swiss landscape architect Enzo Enea, creates a serene oasis in the urban center. It blends classical Italian garden styles with traditional Chinese refined landscaping, ensuring harmony and balance both inside and outside the hotel.

Bulgari Hotels are renowned for their Italian gastronomy, and Beijing Bulgari Hotel continues this legendary culinary heritage while becoming the first Bulgari Hotels & Resorts property to collaborate with Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito. Il Bar boasts an extensive cellar, offering a rich selection of wines to complement Niko Romito’s contemporary Italian cuisine, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience for every guest. The 1,500-square-meter Bulgari Spa features 11 luxurious private treatment rooms, a fitness center, and a 25-meter indoor heated pool inspired by the Roman Baths of Caracalla. Guests can experience rejuvenation and renewal, embarking on a soothing spa and fitness journey. The spacious Bulgari Ballroom on the second floor of Beijing Bulgari Hotel is equipped with top-tier customizable facilities, making it an ideal venue for business and private events.
The connection between Beijing and Rome dates back to the Yuan Dynasty, when Beijing—as the capital of the Yuan Empire—witnessed the friendship between Italian traveler Marco Polo and Kublai Khan, fostering a significant cultural exchange between East and West. Today, in this ancient yet modern city, Italian brilliance and Beijing’s artistic spirit merge seamlessly. Beijing Bulgari Hotel unveils its prestigious presence, bringing guests a passionate, free-spirited, and vibrant Bulgari Roman lifestyle along with the ultimate in comfort and luxury.
