Affected by the northeast monsoon, there is a likelihood of short-duration heavy rainfall. On October 7, there is a chance of localized heavy rain in Yilan, Keelung’s northern coast, and mountainous areas of New Taipei City.

Overcast and rainy weather will continue in areas north of Taoyuan and in the eastern part of the island until Thursday. On October 10 (Double Tenth Day), a national holiday, it will also be rainy in these regions. Those planning trips here should prepare for wet weather and bring rain gear.
On Friday the 12th, there is still a chance of rain in the northern part, eastern half, and Pingtung. By Saturday, the weather will clear up or become mostly cloudy, making for a nice weekend. Temperatures from the 8th to the 14th will also drop to around 22–27°C, offering cool and comfortable weather.
