The Dongmen Stream Interception Station at the Taoyuan North Water Resources Recycling Center not only improves water quality and promotes environmental education, but its novel and aesthetically pleasing architectural design has also made it a new hotspot for visitors and social media influencers. To further enhance its cultural and artistic appeal and make it more accessible, walls at the facility have been painted, earning it the nickname “Taoyuan’s Blue Print” among locals.

Located beneath Zhongzheng Park, the Daxi Bridge spans the Dahan River and connects to the left bank bicycle path along the river. It accommodates both pedestrians and cyclists. In addition to its cable lighting system that illuminates the riverside at night, enhancing the area’s beauty, the bridge also features a Baroque architectural style reminiscent of Daxi Old Street. The bridge connects Section 1 of Daxi Ruian Road to Daxi Old Street at either end, making it an ideal spot for a cultural and culinary mini-trip during a weekend getaway.

Shrouded in mystery, Houci Lake has now opened to the public after the lifting of military restrictions on the area. Originally a small lake where Chiang Kai-shek and his wife enjoyed walks and boat rides, the park’s trail begins at the side entrance of Cihu, crosses a small hill, and stretches about two kilometers. Along the way, you’ll encounter enchanting scenery as well as relics from the martial law period, including command posts, bunkers, iron gates, and offices — all of which make it a great place to explore with a partner or bring children to learn.

The Caoluo Sand Dunes are located along the coast of Guanyin in Taoyuan, featuring an 8-kilometer stretch of unique dune landscapes — a hidden gem known to few. The undulating patterns formed by the shifting yellow sands create a surreal, movie-like atmosphere. From the elevated viewpoints along the trails, you can gaze out over the vast seascape, even more spectacular than those at Kenting’s Fengchui Sand Dunes or Jiupeng Desert. A line of over ten giant wind turbines slowly turn in the breeze, composing a breathtaking scene.
