Nanshan Life Insurance invested NT$50 billion and spent five years constructing “Nanshan Plaza,” which is situated in Taipei’s Xinyi District. It functions as an international tourism center and also represents the core of the entire city. The interior lobby boasts a high-tech, minimalist aesthetic, with a column-free design that maximizes space usage. The building also incorporates an “entrance block” concept, connecting two towers with the Xinyi Commercial District.

With the official completion of Nanshan Plaza, its architectural design has also been unveiled. One of the most distinctive features is the skybridge linking the two towers, situated directly above a road — a rare design in Taiwan.

The office area includes smart elevators and an open-plan layout enabled by its column-free structure.

Even the access card at Nanshan Plaza holds some clever features — simply swipe it upon entry, and when you get into the elevator, you don’t need to press any floor buttons. It will take you directly to your destination.

To open the meeting room door, a key isn’t used — instead, it’s unlocked via a mobile app. For privacy, the glass walls of such meeting rooms can be made completely opaque at the touch of a button, fogging automatically.
