14 Must-Visit Spots for Literary Youths & Tainan’s Gentry Stroll Music Festival

Wander through Taiwan’s oldest city—Tainan, admire the historic charm of the Fu City scenery, soak in the warm local culture, and then immerse yourself in a music party. The 2018 Tainan City Music Festival collaborates with LUCfest Gentry Stroll Music Festival to host a three-day musical extravaganza, featuring over 10 music showcases, an outdoor concert, and eight international music forums. Among them, the popular indie band Eggplant Egg will also appear at the festival.

LUCfest Gentry Stroll Music Festival adopts a showcase music festival model, inviting over 30 internationally renowned music selectors, record companies, labels, and media from 18 countries to exchange music ideas and enjoy performances, promoting Taiwanese music to the world. This year, the festival will feature more than 21 music events over three consecutive days, with over 40 domestic and international bands and more than 10 music showcases.

Taiwanese performing bands include the award-winning popular band Eggplant Egg, as well as 88balaz, I Mean Us, and First Band. The international lineup features South Korea’s indie band ADOY, Thailand’s Pyra, and Belarus’ Super Besse.

Additionally, the Tainan City Music Festival has planned a free outdoor concert, inviting pop singer Faye 飛, local Tainan musician Hsieh Ming-yP, the Sunset Rollercoaster band, Japan’s Tokyo MOJA band, and Drift Out band—all five acts joining in the celebration.
