1. Xintian Luye Cyprus Secret Land
Located along the Xintian Trail in Tanzi, this recently popular luye cypress spot in Taichung is still under construction and not yet open to the public. However, it has already become a top choice for photographers. Even from afar on the opposite hillside, rows of trees in vibrant hues of red blanket the mountainside in a seemingly chaotic yet orderly beauty. Once the park officially opens, the trail is expected to be even more captivating.

2. Houli Flower Sea
Near the Central Sightseeing Flower Market in Houli, Taichung, lies a hidden sea of cosmos flowers. Vast fields of cosmos bloom among farmland, with the uniquely shaped Huoyan Mountain in the background. The striking colors and majestic mountain silhouette, set against the swaying pink cosmos at the foot of the hills, create a uniquely beautiful scene in Taichung.

3. Kangqiao Riverside Park
Situated near Chung Hsing University, Kangqiao Riverside Park features a stretch of purple pampas grass. Depending on the time of day, the sunlight casts varying shades—from brownish to grayish—on the soft purple plumes. Though not a large area, this dreamy little flower sea radiates a winter vibe that draws many visitors for photos and check-ins.

4. Mickey Tree
The Mickey Tree is the latest super-popular photo spot in Taichung, located on a central hill in Wanping Park in Beitun District. What makes it unique is that it’s a naturally grown, century-old tree—completely untrimmed—and when viewed from a certain angle, its large, Mickey-like ears are clearly visible. It’s an adorable mango tree.
