Typhoon Yutu No. 26 (international name YUTU) has formed, with its center located at 9.90°N, 155.20°E, on the sea surface 1,210 kilometers southeast of Guam (3,920 kilometers southeast of Eluanbi), moving northwest at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour.

As the surrounding environment is conducive to the development and strengthening of the typhoon, there is a possibility that Yutu may intensify into a severe typhoon in the future. Whether it will hit Taiwan remains to be observed, although some predictions suggest it will not approach Taiwan closely, so there’s no need to worry too much. Due to the influence of an autumn typhoon, large temperature differences between daytime highs and nighttime lows could lead to sudden chills—stay vigilant.
Starting from the 23rd, enhanced northeasterly winds will bring localized brief showers to northern Taiwan, the eastern half of the country, as well as Kinmen and Matsu. Other regions and Penghu will mostly be cloudy to sunny, with localized brief afternoon showers in the mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan. Starting in the morning, stronger gusts will affect areas north of Chiayi, as well as coastal and open areas of Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu—please stay alert.
