The nights of Kaohsiung in November are about to enter a world of fantasy and imagination. Starting on the 22nd, the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) will present multiple light projection shows over five consecutive days, combining architecture with light and shadow art. The creative team behind the multimedia musical of the theme show at the 2010 Shanghai Expo has been enlisted to create the largest 3D light projection show on the exterior of a theater in all of Asia — and admission is completely free.

The National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) is located in Fengshan, Kaohsiung, covering a vast area of 9.9 hectares. It is the largest performing arts center in southern Taiwan. The building itself stretches 228 meters in length and stands 36 meters high. When illuminated by light performances at night, it becomes the site of Asia’s largest 3D light projection show on a theater facade. The vibrant light projections cast on the structure create a magnificent spectacle that lights up the Kaohsiung night.

The light projection show, themed "The First Seeds: Memories Under the Banyan Tree," will run for five consecutive days from November 22 to 26. Shows start at 7:00 PM on the hour each evening at the outdoor theater of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) in Kaohsiung. Travelers planning to visit Kaohsiung in the near future can not only explore the city during the day but also spend evenings on the lawn, feeling the evening breeze and immersing themselves in a visual and auditory feast of art.
