These past few days I’ve been writing a lot of random thoughts about Hong Kong on my fan page—finally found some time to organize the itinerary properly this time around. No long-winded intro to the itinerary here either. Also, there'sa detailed WORD versionfor your reference.
--------------Itinerary--------------
Day 1. HK Express – Taichung – Hong Kong ‘? Sham Shui Po? Sweet to the Heart ‘? Youth Hostel – Mei Ho House
’d Taichung Airport is really tiny, and so is HK Express, but the flight was very smooth
’d It’s about a 15-minute ride from the airport to the hostel in Sham Shui Po. The area is lively and full of street food. The hostel is cozy and has a local vibe.

Day 2. Breakfast – Hop Yik Tai, Kwong Wo ‘? Wan Chai – Toy Street, Island’s Café, Wah Sing Café, Foo Tak Building ‘? Central – St. John’s Cathedral, urban bakery, SELECT18, Lan Kwai Fong
’d The cheung fun at Hop Yik Tai is really delicious, and Kwong Wo’s soy milk has an incredibly rich flavor

’d The egg tarts at Island’s Café are amazing, the scrambled eggs at Wah Sing Café are unbeatable, and as a culture lover you really can’t miss Foo Tak Building

’d St. John’s Cathedral is beautiful, and actually the whole banking district has a strong presence. The custard-filled croissants at urban bakery are great, SELECT18 is perfect for photos and treasure hunting, and Lan Kwai Fong turns into a whole different world after 9 PM
Day 3. Choi Hung – Choi Hung Estate ‘? Kennedy Town – 63PARK, Kau Kee Beef Brisket, Between, Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences, University of Hong Kong, quiet views by the harbor, HOWA Showa, Hing Kee Claypot Rice ‘? Mui Fong Restaurant
’d Choi Hung Estate is great for photos, and even just riding the tram along the way offers plenty to see
’d Kennedy Town is a really pleasant area, with surprises waiting around every corner

’d The University of Hong Kong is truly impressive—it lives up to its reputation as the top university in Hong Kong
’d Mong Kok is really crowded, kind of like Myeongdong. The night view from Star Ferry Pier is so stunning it’s almost unbelievable—truly exaggeratedly beautiful

Day 4. Just woke up and went home—no highlights
Finally, here’s a thank-you note, written to my two good friends. Everyone says having good travel companions is important, and how lucky was I that the two friends who joined me to Hong Kong were the best possible choices. On this trip, aside from helping with things that needed to be paid for by card, I pretty much just played the role of a lazy bum the whole time, only pretending to look at the itinerary seriously when we got to the airport. So here’s a photo that may not look very coordinated but actually shows how close we are—thank you for being there :)
