The 2018 local public official elections will be held on Saturday, November 24. In addition to the Nine-in-One Elections, more people are focusing on the ten major referendum issues. It’s expected that securing homebound travel tickets will once again be challenging, whether you're returning to vote or have travel plans that day—early transportation planning is crucial.
To better serve passengers traveling home to vote, Taiwan High Speed Rail has planned special election transport services from Friday, November 23 to Monday, November 26. During this period, 58 extra train trips will be added (24 southbound and 34 northbound), offering a total of 659 train services over the four days. The “University Student Discount” and “Early Bird Discount” will remain in place. Passengers can start pre-purchasing round-trip tickets for the transport period all at once starting at midnight on Saturday, October 27.

In addition to electing the mayors of the six special municipalities, county and city magistrates, county and city councilors, township representatives, and village and borough chiefs, this election also features the following ten major referendum issues. Citizens aged 18 and above are eligible to vote on the referendums, attracting attention from many first-time voters.
