Picture book author Jimmy Liao has been creating for 20 years. To document his works over the past two decades, Eslite and Jimmy Liao have co-hosted “The World Is Full of You – Jimmy Liao’s 20th Anniversary Original Art Exhibition.” This exhibition is also the first cross-region joint showcase in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China. In addition to featuring nearly 100 classic original artworks from past years, it also includes newly published original drafts of picture books, oil paintings, and 8 colored bronze sculptures.

This is Jimmy Liao’s first four-city joint exhibition, held in Taipei, Hong Kong, Suzhou, and Shenzhen. The Taipei event features nearly 100 classic original picture book artworks from over the years, 2 new oil paintings, the original draft of the newly released picture book “Close Your Eyes for a While” that hit shelves in October, as well as Jimmy Liao’s first attempt at colored bronze sculptures—8 pieces making their debut at this exhibition.
This year, Jimmy Liao has specially launched the “20th Anniversary Selection Collection,” featuring 50 classic and newly created artworks.
For Jimmy Liao fans, this 20th anniversary original art exhibition is bound to be a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Nearly 100 classic original artworks from beloved titles such as “Turn Left, Turn Right,” “The Moon Forgot,” “The Underground,” and “Starry Starry Night” will be fully displayed. There will also be the first official unveiling of 8 colored bronze sculptures and oil paintings. Works originally created on paper are now presented in different media by Jimmy Liao, which is highly anticipated.
