The hollow modular concept pavilion, composed of triangular blocks, displays around 400 plants, each with a corresponding QR code that can be scanned via mobile devices to learn the name and details of each plant.
Additionally, Kengo Kuma’s exhibition “Kengo Kuma: Materials Exhibition” will open at the Tainan Chinchin Museum of Fine Arts on November 3.
The Chinchin Museum of Fine Arts showcases works by Kengo Kuma, marking the first time his pieces have been displayed outdoors.
A total of six corporate-themed pavilions have been set up for the Taichung Flower Expo, involving private enterprises including AU Optronics, Taichung Precision Machinery, Chenlong, HowToTrip, the Taichung Real Estate Development Association, and Model Entrepreneur Enterprises. These pavilions are located in the Houli Forest Park and the Fengyuan Huludun Park.
Next to the HowToTrip Modular Pavilion, aside from the National Palace Museum, there is also the AUO Micro Beauty Pavilion.
Architect Kengo Kuma applied the concept of playing with blocks to construct the geometrically shaped HowToTrip Modular Pavilion. Visitors can also engage onsite in the fun of building with blocks. During the Flower Expo, the HowToTrip Modular Pavilion exhibits over 1,200 varieties of camellias. HowToTrip is pioneering agricultural 4.0 at the expo, using IoT technology to allow the camellias to “speak” to visitors. Flower lovers and architecture enthusiasts alike shouldn’t miss this experience.
