Zhubei International Land Art Festival — Art Connects the People and Land of Hsinchu Starting July 30

The inaugural “Zhubei City International Land Art Festival” will run for a year starting July 30, aiming to use locally designed land art installations to herald the upcoming launch of the new National Highway Bus Transfer Station at Zhubei Railway Station’s rear section (the back of Zhubei Railway Station) and the “axis transformation” of the front section.

The International Land Art Festival begins on the 30th, with the exhibition area starting from the rear of Zhubei Railway Station and extending to Zhubei Park. It is divided into two themes: “Journey of the Wind” and “Joyful Party,” and includes works by three international land artists from Taiwan, the United States, and Norway. The International Land Art Festival is not only about restoring landscapes but also about healing the “human spirit.” It hopes that as the city finds new life through artistic installations, citizens will also build a sense of identity and pride in their city through these artworks.

Key exhibits include “Forest of Blossoms,” inspired by Zhubei’s city flower, the azalea, which expresses the city’s hope for promoting aesthetic education. Other highlights include Norwegian street artist Anders “Yansta” Rønningen’s creation “Look, it’s a giant!” and American land artist Brandon Munro’s piece “Pillows,” which features a striking three-dimensional perspective.
