Life-sized backdrops make you feel like you've stepped into a land of giants, while the colorful watermelon world is super playful.

Located in Beibu, Hsinchu, there is a restaurant garden themed around watermelons, full of childlike charm. It features many vibrant and adorable backdrops. Although it's called the "Watermelon Manor," it doesn't serve watermelon meals but is instead adorned with various watermelon decorations. It's only open on Thursdays and Fridays, making it perfect for family outings during holidays.

The inspiration for Watermelon Manor comes from a mother’s love. Created by four sisters from the sixth grade (born in the 1970s), the concept is rooted in their childhood experiences. As kids, their signature hairstyle was the "watermelon peel" cut, but rather than expecting their daughters to become juicy, flavorful watermelon flesh, their mother knew that even the often-overlooked rind, when refined, could have its own unique value.

The park is divided into a Colorful Story Gallery, Creative Flavors Pavilion, Pure Heart Hall, and an outdoor Leisure Area. The "Outdoor Leisure Area" mainly consists of six zones: the Carefree Meadow, Childlike Sandpit, “Freedom” Installation Art, Time Tunnel, Memories of Fragrance, Couple Trees, and Smiling Eyes.

As soon as you enter the manor, you’re greeted by a lush green lawn and a variety of large and small, colorful animal and toy backdrops. There are watermelon ants, a watermelon post office, a watermelon train, watermelon umbrellas, and even the chairs and cushions in the restaurant are shaped like watermelons.

The park also features life-sized desks and chairs, as if oversized primary school furniture from a giant’s land had been left behind in the manor. Upon closer inspection, you’ll notice watermelon paintings on the desks and chairs, truly showcasing the thoughtful and whimsical design of the manor.
