The Xinyi District’s Xizhi Baiyun Park, themed around paper airplanes, features a variety of recreational and fitness facilities, including the country’s first circular swing. With ample green space offering plenty of rest areas, it aims to enhance the surrounding living environment and environmental value.

Covering nearly 5,200 square meters in total, Xizhi Baiyun Park breaks away from traditional designs. The New Taipei City government construction team, based on the original terrain, created five main zones: lawn area, fitness area, slide area, swing area, and sandbox area. Among them, the circular swing, three-tiered slide, and 500-square-meter sandbox are the most eye-catching.

It also includes an 800-square-meter large lawn area, outfitted with a giant climbing net, ropes, rock climbing wall, spinning disc, as well as toddler-friendly equipment like merry-go-rounds and rocking horses—enhancing playground diversity to meet the needs of different age groups.
A three-story, nine-lane slide.
Baiyun Park is located by the Hengke Dakeng Stream in Xizhi, near the Academia Sinica in Nangang. Originally owned by the Taipei City Government but left abandoned and illegally occupied, the New Taipei City Government, with consent from Taipei, reallocated the land. Incorporated into the “New North Happy Land Project” by the Demolition Task Force, the illegal structures were removed by the end of last year, and the site was transformed into a unique park for local residents to enjoy.
Many of the park’s features help children grow happily while experiencing the great outdoors.
Xizhi Baiyun Park combines terrain design with inclusive play equipment. Beyond functioning as a children’s playground, it also encourages seniors to come for walks and exercise.
