The Taiping Sky Ladder in Alishan National Scenic Area, after being operated by the Alishan Forest Recreation Area Administration for one year, was handed over to private management as originally planned, with the Taiping Community ultimately winning the bid.

The handover ceremony was held at the Welcome Plaza of the Taiping Sky Ladder at the end of October, featuring performances by the Chiayi Chinese Orchestra, the Bamboo Orchestra of Taiping Elementary School, the Ten Drum Troupe, as well as tea ceremonies and industry exhibitions—making for a lively event.

The number of visitors allowed to ascend the Taiping Sky Ladder per trip will be increased from 200 to 300, and night climbs to enjoy the nighttime scenery on holidays have been planned.

The Taiping Sky Ladder combines rare natural phenomena such as sea of clouds, night views, dawn and dusk, and mist—these are the biggest draws of this attraction.
