The “2018 New Taipei City Happy Christmas Town” officially lit up and opened on November 16th this year. In addition to the eye-catching four major galaxy-themed light zones and four dreamy sky bridges, it was announced on the 13th that Happy Christmas Town is collaborating with LINE for the first time. In addition to launching super cute Christmas town photo frames, those who complete the tasks can also receive limited-edition free stickers that you can’t buy with money—and there’s also a LINE space capsule-themed container market!
This year, New Taipei City’s Happy Christmas Town is collaborating with LINE NOW for the first time, installing 30 Beacon devices within the event area. Using low-power Bluetooth communication technology, when visitors arrive at the event site, they will automatically receive Christmas town guide messages. These include introductions to the four major light zones, amusement facilities, various activities, as well as information on nearby food, drinks, and entertainment. There’s also a Christmas town-themed composite souvenir photo available for free download!

The New Taipei City Government specially invited the creator of the most famous character in Christmas Town—“Santa Bear”—Ms. Unpleasant, to design a series of 8 LINE stickers featuring Santa Bear and New Taipei travelers (Little Guest) as the main characters. These incorporate well-known landmarks of Happy Christmas Town—the New Taipei City Government Building, the Christmas tree—as well as this year’s “space and planet” theme. The stickers are given away, not sold. From now until January 1, 2019, simply visit the “2018 New Taipei City Happy Christmas Town” event area, turn on your phone’s Bluetooth and GPS, and complete the designated tasks to easily get these free, money-can’t-buy LINE stickers!
Steps to get the stickers:
In line with this year’s Christmas Town “space and planet” theme, two very popular LINE characters—Brown and Sally—will also be dressed in spacesuits and land on Santa Star System (Citizen Square) along with the LINE Space Capsule Container Market. Inside the space capsule, LINE-related merchandise and works by LINE sticker illustrators will be displayed. Meanwhile, the “Superstar Christmas Concert” on December 15th and 16th will also be live-streamed via LIVE TV.
