[Introduction] The 2018 Hangzhou Tourism Big Data Report has been released, marking the beginning of the digital tourism era in Hangzhou. The "2018 Hangzhou Quality Tourism Program" and the list of award-winning entities were announced, with Hangzhou LvBu Technology serving as the data partner for the event, providing relevant data support in the digital hotel sector.

On January 18, 2019, the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism held the 2018 Hangzhou Tourism Big Data and the First List of Certified "Hangzhou Quality Tourism Program" Entities at the Overseas Chinese Crown Hotel in Hangzhou. In 2018, Hangzhou received a total of 184.03 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 13%. With the implementation of the "Hangzhou Quality Tourism Program," the city aims to enhance tourism quality and diversify tourism offerings through deeper integration of culture and tourism. From smart tourism to digital cultural tourism, data-driven empowerment continues to evolve. The past year marked the beginning of the digital tourism era in Hangzhou. The event was attended by over 200 participants, including officials from the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, district and county tourism authorities, representatives from leading tourism enterprises and travel agencies, and members of the media.

2018 was the inaugural year of digital tourism in Hangzhou. This year, poetry and distance came together, with the tourism industry evolving into a cultural and radio-television tourism sector, witnessing continuous growth in industrial capacity. The average check-in time was 49 seconds, saving each guest 251 seconds, amounting to a total of 47,936 hours saved.

Under the guidance of the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and jointly initiated by the Hangzhou Tourism Association, the Hangzhou Hotel Industry Association, the Hangzhou Travel Agency Industry Association, and the Hangzhou Homestay Association, the 2018 "Hangzhou Quality Tourism Program" Quality Star-Rated (Tourism) Hotel Certification and Selection event recently announced its results. After going through stages such as enterprise applications, district/county (city) recommendations, expert on-site scoring, big data analysis, online voting, evaluations by tourism regulatory authorities, and approval by the evaluation leadership team, a total of 14 "Quality Star-Rated Hotels" and several "Excellent Star-Rated Hotels" were selected. The Hangzhou Zhongwei Xiangyi Grand Hotel, along with 13 other high-star hotels in Hangzhou, became one of the first batch of certified "Hangzhou Quality Star-Rated Tourism Hotels."

As a representative of intelligent hotels in Hangzhou, the Zhongwei Xiangyi Grand Hotel has consistently strived to provide guests with higher-quality and more personalized services. Over the past year, through collaboration with LvBu Technology, the hotel launched a smart front desk self-service terminal system, enhancing the guest experience and convenience, earning widespread recognition from both guests and the industry. The Zhongwei Xiangyi Grand Hotel also stated that it will leverage the momentum of being named a "Hangzhou Quality Star-Rated Hotel" and a "Smart Tourism Hotel" to stay attuned to market trends, continue championing the "smart hotel" concept, comprehensively build core competitiveness, and contribute to the high-quality tourism development plan in the context of the national tourism and leisure era.

The Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism conducted an in-depth analysis of the characteristics of Hangzhou’s tourism development over the past year using big data, providing accurate insights and guidance for the development of the tourism markets in Hangzhou and Zhejiang. Behind this effort were key players such as Koubei, Meituan, and LvBu Technology, which supplied the data foundation and support. In the future, digitalization and personalization will become key trends in the tourism industry, with the sector’s transformation moving toward digital and customized solutions.
